Food Manufacturer - Market Leader - Excellent Pension & Benefits
Your new company
Our client is a marker leading food manufacturer who are looking to appoint a Supply / Production Planner within their current Planning team.
Your new role
You will be reporting directly into the Production Planning Manager and your key responsibilities and duties will include:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to set targets, plan productions required
- Manage customer contracts to ensure stock ready for call off planned
- Liaise with CSR teams and sales managers
- Monitor stock of Semi-Finished Goods and plan Spray Dry activities
- Confirm customer orders to support Production Planners
- Monitor the production plan, adjust when required and optimise where possible
- Update Excel tools monthly with latest forecasts, stock targets and standards
- Be a key player in the implementation of an MRP system for the site
What you'll need to succeed
Personal traits:
- Self motivated and proactive
- Able to work on own initiative
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work well under pressure
Professional experience:
- You will have previous experience within a Production Planning role, ideally within a food manufacturing environment but not essential
- Computer literate, Microsoft office and very strong Excel skills (Vlook ups, pivot tables, an understanding of macros will be beneficial).
- ERP / MRP experience, ideally either AS400 or SAP
- Good communication skills both verbally and electronically
- Ability to liaise with various departments daily
- Strong reactivity, ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Customer service orientated
What you'll get in return
- Salary is between £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
- Working hours are 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch.
- Life cover of 4 times annual salary
- Pension contributions of 5%, 8% or 14.5% depending on age
- Income protection (for very long term illness)
