Junior Land Buyer

My client is a pioneering, family based developer who are looking for an individual to join their acquisitions department with a focus on land buying. Based in North London, my client is acquiring one opportunity per month on average and looking to spend between £200k - 3m per site. They are growing quickly and now need an ambitious land buyer to get involved and help manage the vast amount of opportunities they are acquiring.

The role be focused around land buying to begin with, however, there is much potential for the role to grow into other stages of the development process. Their office consists of a high quality, close-knit team of 10 people. The suitable candidate will be working alongside the director, which will provide the opportunity to gain an abundance of knowledge from an experienced professional.

Prior experience isn't crucial and will be provided on the role.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying our appraisals and assessing the feasibility of opportunities
• Supporting the director in identifying land owners
• Supporting the director in sourcing land and acquiring land
• Assisting the director in attending auctions
• Liaising with the development team

You will ideally have:

• Great communication and negotiation skills
• Educated to degree level (preferably a property related degree)
• A strong understanding of the acquisitions process
• A good contact base across the land sector (within London)
