Our client is famous children’s brand, that sells its iconic and much-loved products through their thousands of retail partners and direct to customers through their eCommerce channels and their direct website.

They have a new role available for a Head of Operations / Sales Supply Chain who will be dedicated to ensuring that the supply chain is an efficient, effective and streamlined as possible, allowing for sales to be optimised by the sales team.

You will work closely with the warehouses, production team (delivering the stock in to the warehouses) and the sales team (selling to the thousands of retailers worldwide) making sure that everything is running smoothly.

You will manage a team of 5 who are responsible for processing orders, booking in deliveries, allocating stock, liaising with carriers, and overall ensuring that the orders that are captured by the Sales Team are processed, packed and delivered as efficiently as possible.

Duties as Head of Operations / Sales Supply Chain you will include:

  • Analysing the current supply chain process ensuring that it is as efficient as possible; making changes where you feel suitable
  • Regular communication between three warehouses
  • Working with the production team on delivery schedules and demand
  • Making sure that you have a close relationship with the sales team, ensuring that the supply chain processes are robust enough to meet their needs
  • Line management of 5 team members across the operations function
  • Overseeing and ensuring the team is processing orders, booking deliveries, and stock is allocated as efficiently as possible
  • Ensuring that the sales team has the stock to optimise sales at every opportunity available

The successful Head of Operations / Sales Supply Chain will have the following qualities:

  • 8+ years operations and supply chain experience within a retail / wholesale environment
  • Previous line management experience of a small team
  • Strong background and understanding of operations and supply chain
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • The ability to think on your feet when it comes to problem solving
  • Keeping commercial awareness at the forefront of your decisions
  • A team player, with a flexible approach - always willing to go the extra mile!
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One or Accellos would be a bonus
