This Leading New Jersey headquartered retail organisation has experienced exponential growth and is now seeking a Senior Procurement Category Manager to head up the Professional Services Category (including HR and Marketing). You will be based in the organisations New Jersey Headquarters and will be joining a rapidly growing business that has the key goal of further developing their procurement function.

You will work with Senior Stakeholders in the organisation creating and implementing a number of procurement strategies across your assigned categories. You should have an excellent ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and have the drive and autonomy to drive the business forward, growing your procurement department.

As the Senior Category Manager you will:

  • Lead your Procurement Categories and drive the business through increasing both savings and value. You will use your category expertise to identify cost drivers/trends and use this to create procurement strategies across your categories.
  • Work alongside other procurement professionals to create and implement procurement strategies across the HR category (including Learning and Development, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Contingent Labour etc.)
  • Work with Senior Stakeholders to create and implement various procurement strategies across your assigned categories (Professional Services, Marketing, HR, etc.) to add value and reduce costs.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in Strategic Procurement covering a number of Indirect Procurement Categories including Professional Services, HR, Marketing, etc.
  • The ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels of the business and drive the growth of the procurement function internally.
  • Experience in creating and implementing key procurement strategies across indirect spend categories.
  • Experience working with suppliers to negotiate terms and conditions and the ability to manage these suppliers.
  • Experienced in running end-to-end sourcing projects using the 7-step Strategic Sourcing process.
  • Attained a relevant Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (business, finance, economics, etc.)
