We are recruiting for a Sales Executive to work for a market leading engineering manufacturer selling into the power generation sector in the US and Scandinavian markets.(International travel will be part of the role potentially 4 to 5 times per year - 7 days at a time).
This professional phone based sales role requires a skilled professional who will research and understand all clients requirements and be able to consult with senior buyers and work to a clear sales plan as part of a 30 strong sales team within this specialist business.

Salary : £24,000- £25,000 basic with OTE £40 - £50,000 uncapped (a realistic 2nd year earnings can easily achieve the £50,000 uncapped) + full benefits including pension and death in service, free on site parking.

The ideal candidate will have either a knowledge of specialist fastenings or manufacturing of products or come from ideally and engineering selling background. The company will also consider graduates looking to forge a career in a specialist sales market.

Duties & responsibilities:

* Responsible for the performance and development of the Power Generation market within the U.S and Scandinavia
* Targeting new business accounts by building new & existing relationships
* Responsible for the development of your dedicated market through bringing on board new customers through prospecting and cold calling.
* Attain sales goals and profitability through following the Export sales strategy and building plans
* Dedicated account management, from initial sales contract, review of orders, through to dispatch
* Work to a sales strategy and sales build plan dedicated to each area of the business
* Liaising with various internal departments - right through to production to meet order deadlines
* Maintain discipline, focus and drive to promote sales
* Completion of daily KPI's and call plans
* Arranging and attending site visits
* Hit and exceed area sales targets

Skills/Attributes:

* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with C grade pass in Maths and English
* Specialist Fastener or engineering background preferred
* Proven sales background within a manufacturing/engineering industry
* Account management skills
* Computer literate
* High levels of honesty and integrity
