Purchasing Manager - FoodTech Start-up
Very fast-paced FoodTech start up are searching for a Purchasing Manager to join their team ASAP
This company cook and prepare a wide variety of dishes for a range of restaurant clients from a centralised kitchen and need a positive and enthusiastic purchaser who is interested in the food industry.
You will be primarily responsible for the operational side, managing suppliers and stock forecasting.
Core Duties
- Establishing and maintaining close relationships with suppliers
- Negotiating prices
- Stock Management: Planning orders months in advance so to minimize products' un-availability
- Suppliers' Orders (POs): Analysing stock and processing orders so that stock does not became unavailable
- Inward Logistics: Relationship with freight forwarders from Italy to receive stock from POs
- Reporting directly to the Directors of the company
Ideal candidate
- A passion for the food industry
- Prior experience in a senior purchasing position - ideally sourcing food ingredients
- Able to work independently and proactively, managing your own time and responsibilities
- Results orientated and commercially focused
- Prior work experience in a commercial or logistics environment preferred
- Organised with excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of Excel
