SENIOR BUYER (1 Year Fixed Term Contract)
LONDON
UP TO £45,000 + PENSION + EXCELLENT BENEFITS
Our client are looking for an experienced Senior Retail Buyer to work in a generalist buying role, supporting in the management of an Assistant Buyer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly reputable and forward-thinking organisation.
THE ROLE:
- Source high quality ranges of merchandise
- Ensure the product range offers variety across price point and target market
- Identify a core base of suppliers in all product areas and negotiate appropriate rates
- Work alongside the creative team to brief them on products
- Oversee the production of product information on new merchandise
- Assist in the management and training of an Assistant Buyer and consistently support their development
- Work alongside the merchandising team to identify appropriate stock levels and requirements
- Work closely with the Retail Director to meet objectives and outline strategy for the department
THE PERSON:
- Experience within a generalist Senior Buying role in retail
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- Confident to manage an Assistant Buyer
- Able to manage a busy and varied workload
- Excellent commercial and analytical skills
THE BENEFITS:
