Global Technology Procurement Manager role for a Global Consultancy based in Central London

Your new company
You will join one of the Leading Global Management Consultancies in London sitting in their in-house procurement function. They have a global footprint in over 150 countries, employ over 200,000 employees globally and revenue of over $30bn.

Your new role
You will be part of the Global Tech Procurement team who are responsible for the development/execution of the technology procurement strategy. Day to day you will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement and managing the supplier relationships in order to maximise value.

The subcategories you will be responsible for are, Infrastructure Services, Networks, Managed Services, Network Information Security and Business Applications.

You will need strong stakeholder engagement skills as you will be required to communicate internally with the various different business lines (Tax, Advisory and Assurance), as well as IT business stakeholders to understand their needs/requirements so you are best suited to procure the best solution.

You will also need to proactively manage the supplier risk mitigation plan, taking into account, geographical, financial, performance related, CSR and regulatory compliance risk factors.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need IT/Tech procurement experience on a global remit. Having experience managing the subcategories will be highly desirable. The CIPS qualification is highly desirable too, but not essential. Strong experience in a global procurement function with the relevant category will be of interest to my client.

Having prior experience negotiating technology contracts and dealing with an array of IT vendors would be useful. Needless to say, strong communication skills and the ability to deal with challenging stakeholders is essential, so having strong examples of how you have dealt with these situations previously will give you the competitive edge.
