As a member of the supply chain team, support and execute all project activities to improve performance, reduce cost and drive continuous improvement in order to meet Customer demands and Supply chain requirements in line with defined business objectives. Support activities relating to daily operations, new product introduction and capacity expansion planning within the Plastics Operations Group. Maintain awareness of latest developments in technology and processes to improve performance and reduce cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance for sourcing, establishing agreements and pricing for direct materials and capital

  • Document and maintain compliant processes for Supply Chain function for both internal project activities and externally manufactured components and supplied materials

  • Develop robust processes for Make vs Buy Analysis and the timely set up of relevant SAP Data,

  • Develop robust procedures for Supplier Selection, Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Performance

  • Measurement processes and execute routine data analytics to identify improvement opportunities in the Supply Chain

  • Support the site monthly S&OP process

  • Liaise with the planners to secure capacity on existing equipment to allow process development and qualification as required

  • Forecast and monitor material usage for new products to avoid potential shortages

  • Monitor creation and maintenance of all SAP Master Data to meet project timelines

  • Create KPI reporting mechanisms for Supply Chain activities and report at agreed intervals

  • To drive CI activities within the SCM team and develop business cases to demonstrate the value of continuous improvement projects

  • Identify, justify and implement projects to generate improvements to improve Customer Service levels whilst reducing lead times, cost and inventory through process stabilisation

    The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Exposure to Project Management / Continuous Improvement processes within a product development, manufacturing or supply chain environment.

  • Experience in a high pressure manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge and experience in Project Management and Root Cause Analysis Tools.

  • Expertise in IT applications - Microsoft Office, SAP, SharePoint, One Drive.
