The Bid Manager is responsible for collating and producing high quality responses to tenders within customer timeframes to win and retain profitable deals.

Job Description Summary

  • Timely completion of Bid / No Bid assessments for new opportunities using the Contract Guardrail template
  • Owning business development opportunities, with overall responsibility for managing all workstreams which support the successful win or retention of business
  • Preparing, collating and writing compelling responses to tenders to win or retain business
  • Working with a range of stakeholders including the Solutions Architect, Implementation Managers, Pricing Analyst and Contracts Manager to ensure that all components of the proposal are completed to a high quality and on time
  • For Bronze and Silver opportunities, drafting the solution design and implementation plan following standard guidelines and templates, and ensuring these receive clinical/operational approval.
  • Supporting commercial workstreams, including pricing and contractual review,
  • Drafting high quality governance packs with clear recommendations
  • Supporting the preparation of presentations to clients, other supporting documentation and information required for new business
  • Communicating and engaging with customers in an appropriate and responsive way in line with the company’s vision, mission and core messaging
  • Supporting continuous improvement in Health Management by proactively working with colleagues to identify opportunities to improve services, maintaining the Bid Library, and sharing feedback appropriately
  • Escalating risks and issues as appropriate
  • Conducting additional ad hoc projects as required

Job Description

  • A high quality degree or equivalent experience
  • Bid writing experience
  • Business development experience in a procurement environment
  • Experience of commercial modelling and pricing in a B2B service environment
  • Experience of producing tender documents, pitches and proposals
  • Experience of communicating with internal and external clients

  • Outstanding written English
  • Ability to draft concise, clear and compelling proposals for clients
  • Structured, organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Capability to review commercial models and contracts
  • Literacy in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
