Strand Recruitment have partnered with an independent firm of Accountants and Business Advisors which provides accounting, taxation, compliance, and business advisory services. They are looking to bolster their highly successful team with the addition of a Business Operations Manager. In this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for three key areas HR, Compliance and Operations.

You will be involved in the following duties:

Compliance

  • Managing all day-to-day operations for compliance
  • Provide technical expertise in the area of AML
  • Review and audit files for compliance
  • Work closely with teams, increasing their awareness of regulatory and compliance matters
  • Responsible for management of all Data Protection/GDPR activities
  • Ensure controls within the offices are effectively managed to reduce risk

Human Resources

  • Advice and assist managers and staff on any HR matters
  • Manage the full recruitment and selection process for staff at all levels
  • Oversee any ER issues
  • Manage and coordinate annual HR processes including appraisals and salary reviews
  • Update and develop HR policies and procedure
  • Manage all HR administration activities, benefits, pension, etc
  • Ensure the UK is compliant with auto enrolment legislation and complete the relevant monthly processes relating to this
  • Handle on-boarding process for new hires including necessary paperwork
  • Conducting new starter inductions

Operations

  • Planning and controlling Directors cost
  • Managing quality service programmes
  • Researching alternative methods of efficiency
  • First point of contact for all extraordinary queries
  • Setting and reviewing budgets and managing cost
  • Yearly analysis on several business KPIs
  • Overseeing daily activities

What you will need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in a regulated or financial services environment
  • Extensive knowledge of UK AML requirements
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of compliance legislation and regulations
  • Understanding of UK employment law legislation
  • Hands-on individual willing to be involved in an array of activities
  • Experienced manager who is committed to being close to the businesses, knowing the people and has an open management style
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates strong organisational skills whilst managing a fluid and diverse range of tasks
  • Meticulous with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Willing to undertake occasional travel to Dublin
  • Proficient in MS Office, with particular focus on Excel

Job Offer: he genuine opportunity to develop and add value, to be an integral part of this growing business. The salary is £40,000 to £50,000 plus bonus.
