IT Procurement Category Manager

IT PROCUREMENT CATEGORY MANAGER - LONDON - £40K - £50K + PACKAGE - LEADING GLOBAL CONSULTANCY

My client is a leading professional services firm who specialise in back office solutions and procurement transformation. With offices in over 35 countries and a plethora of blue chip clients across finance, telecoms and retail, they are looking to urgently recruit IT Category Managers to head up accounts across Europe. The ideal candidate will have excellent end to end procurement experience across the entire IT category.

Working with the senior stakeholders and the IT team you will gain an understanding of the IT requirements. You will design and implement a sourcing strategy to purchase all IT commodities including hardware, software and telecoms. Working with IT buyers you will delegate the tactical buying of all IT commodities within a fast paced and target driven environment. You will negotiate with senior level management to consolidate suppliers and implement best in class procurement processes to ensure maximum savings.

The following procurement skills are necessary for the role:

• Strong in depth knowledge of the IT category across areas of hardware and software and telecoms procurement
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and drive a procurement team
• A track record of implementing and managing best in class procurement processes
• Gravitas and the ability to communicate and implement strategies with senior stakeholders
• A mixture of industry and consultancy experience essential
