Our client, a busy freight forwarder is now seeking an Import/Export Operator to join their rapidly growing company with plenty of opportunity to grow and develop.
They are looking for candidates who have a proactive, can do attitude, who are highly motivated & quick learners, ideally with 2-3 years industry experience.
The operations team cover all modes (Air/Sea and Road) and are open to people who have experience in one or multiple areas.
Duties include:
•Working on getting shipments moving from A to B, with great oversight and support from Senior Team Members
• You will report to the Logistics Manager / Head of Logistics
• The role will include imports, exports and cross trade shipments via air, sea and at times road. • Operationally responsible for some of their key/ VIP customers
• Monitoring and tracking shipments
• Generating / cross checking documentation for and from both our customers and suppliers
Expected Skills:
• Minimum 2-3 years desired experience working at a UK-based Freight Forwarder
• Good understanding of the industry
• Strong in imports and a good understanding of exports and cross trade processes
• Full understanding of Incoterms
• Good understanding of UK Customs formalities
• Based in / available to work in Central London
