Our client based in Corby has a new and exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Co-ordinator to support the Supply Chain Manager and the supply chain functions relating to logistics, purchasing, planning and capacity.

The Role

· Managing and owning the "traded goods process" including the liaison with suppliers and sister sites, booking in of expected goods into the 3rd party warehousing facility and the timely receipting of stock to enable dispatch

· Reviewing and analysing data

· Providing full NAV/OMP planning and scheduling cover including the just in time supply of raw materials for manufacture in line with customer requirements whilst influencing inventory levels to align with capacity availability

· Managing the purchasing of all production related materials in line with demand, ensuring sensible ongoing stock levels and replenishment of factory consumables (pallets, layer pads, binders, inks)

· Daily housekeeping of receipted goods versus goods expected

· Investigating discrepancies between demand and supply to avoid potential under deliveries or over manufacture

· Understanding and reporting Supply Chain results and KPIs; Forecast Vs Actuals, Inventory versus Target, monthly waste figures by machine pool / product type, monthly Inventory by location versus budget.

· Supporting the implementation of changing working practises to reduce instances of excess inventory

· Co-Ordinating Stock run downs to reduce instances of obsolescence

· Gathering and overlaying business intelligence to forecast and generate robust inventory plans in line with capacity

· Supporting the Supply Chain Manager and Warehouse Manager in pro actively identifying areas to minimise working capital and operational cost including transport, board grade portfolio and utilisation of residual and aged stocks

· Identify, each month, the key drivers of inventory deviations by analysing the turnover of all items in relation to their replenishment method. Amending the stock keeping units accordingly to mitigate future occurrences. Conducting ad-hoc reviews of particular items where forecast demand is advised to increase/ decrease

· Maintenance of Navision data in relation to planning, logistics and purchasing; Shipping Lead Times, Transport costs, Manufacturing policies

· Coordinating the sale or disposal of redundant materials

· Supporting the stock take process including the administration, organisation and physical stock count

· Using initiative and a can do solutions driven attitude towards solving daily supply chain challenges. The aim is to supply the customer on time, in full, to the highest standard, every time!

The Candidate

· Highly analytical and organised with advanced excel skills (pivot tables, macros, V-lookups)

· Intuitive hands on problem solver

· Methodical, logical and proactive

· Exceptional levels of accuracy and an acute attention to detail

· Understanding of supply chain functions

Desirable Requirements:

· Experience of working with MRP planning systems (ideally OMP)

· Experience in the packaging, cardboard or paper industry

· Experience working in a manufacturing environment

· Available for occasional travel

· Able to work without close supervision (following suitable period of job-training)

· Able to manage time and workload with conflicting deadlines

· Able to adapt to fast-changing environment and requirements

· Able to work and communicate effectively across wide range of departments and functions including external and overseas partners

· Able to pick up and adapt to new ways of working or new processes in a flexible and positive manner
