Transport Planner - Freight Forwarding Road Haulage

This international company are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their expanding team. This is a good opportunity to really add value to a successful business that will train and develop you well.

The purpose of this role will be to process customer orders and transport planning of all goods deliveries on a European basis through an approved list of hauliers ensuring all loads are running to capacity and best profit is obtained. This is a Monday to Friday role 8.45am to 5pm totalling a 37.5hour week.

Your key duties in this role will be:

To accurately process all customer orders for European delivery

Preparing import / export custom entries and associated documentation where required

Planning and optimising all load requirements to drive margins and savings

Manage all bookings, loading, transportation and delivery processes in line with customer requirements and agreed service levels

Sort queries and input all relevant date onto the transport system

Ensure all invoicing details are correct and support finance in managing customer payments

Successful candidates will have a strong road transport planning background with superb operational skills. Experience planning deliveries to Europe is essential as is strong load planning knowledge with great customer focus and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
