Multinational Fast paced engineering business seek a Category Manager - Machining to help develop the strategy
Your new role
- Supporting the development and implementation of the UK's Machining Category strategies
- Leading negotiations with suppliers to optimise cost, delivery and quality
- Taking active participation in multifunctional and international teams to support definition and negotiation strategies for assigned category
- Managing suppliers and build up longer term supplier management expectations
- Contribute to managing supplier performance
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of working within Aerospace / Automotive or Defence sector
- Category Management experience
- Knowledge of Mechanical technologies eg Standard and precision machining (Preferred) other technology experience is useful (areas: Fabrication, forgings, ball screws, bearings, optics, composites etc)
- Good understanding of cost make up
