Junior Category Manager - FTSE 100 FMCG Giant - £40k - Northampton
One of the world's leading FMCG majors are seeking a bright and talented procurement professional to join their expanding team. This prestigious organisation has an excellent procurement infrastructure, following recent investment and a large-scale restructure. As a result, you will be responsible for a multi-million pound spend with full autonomy. The firm have an unrivaled reputation for training and investing in talent, with a clearly defined path to promotion that is tailored to you.
Their new procurement specialist will:
- Lead strategic sourcing projects across various raw materials
- Manage supplier relations to optimise efficiency and supplier performance
- Negotiate with suppliers to leverage long term cost savings
- Owning the end-to-end procurement process and lead sourcing strategies
- Work closely with stakeholders to win over support for further reaching procurement projects
Desirable skills and attributes:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An analytical and problem-solving approach to procurement
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- A proven track record of progression and tangible achievements within your procurement career
- Degree / MCIPS qualification preferred but not essential
