The buying department is responsible for sourcing, purchasing and introducing new market leading products.

The Assistant Buyer takes the product from initial selection through to arrival on site. This includes setting up the purchases correctly on the system and ensuring the cost price meets target.

This role is essentially an office administration based role where you will also have responsibilities such as gaining market information, pricing, packaging and communication.

• Support the marketing department by ensuring copy notes and samples are ready in line with their deadlines. Present new/updated products at a Product Awareness Meeting with the copywriters, web team and the production team

• Assist the Buyer with New Product Development management by collating suggestions and helping to co-ordinate new innovations by providing administrative and communications support as required

You are the link between the Buyers and the Stock controllers.

We are looking for a candidate with a real passion for establishing good working relationships as you will be key critical part of the supply chain.

Previous experience of working within a procurement department would be beneficial although training will be given. A keen interest in marketing would be highly advantageous.
