Our client is genuine market leader and a success story that dates back near two centuries. They are an international manufacturing company, with their UK headquarters based in Bicester. Due to their continued investment, they are now looking to acquire the services of a dedicated and experienced Storesperson / Logistics Assistant to join their team who have a passion for service excellence. The role can offer a great deal of variety and the chance to work for a company who values the importance of every member of the team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Workshop materials control including goods receipt and dispatch, stock control, materials storage, and materials movements, etc (FLT license needed)
  • Arranging transport logistics for material movements between customer sites and the workshop as well as sub-suppliers/sub-contractors.
  • Inspection and measurement of materials and components.
  • Preparation and packing of materials and components for despatch.
  • Assistance with disassembly and re-assembly of goods.
  • Assistance with component strip-downs, inspection and reporting.
  • General workshop duties.
  • Assisting the Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Repairs & Engineering Manager or Supply Chain Manager.
  • Working to company QA, EOHS, operating and administrative procedures and practices.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proactive, motivated individual with a great attention to detail.
  • Counterbalance forklift licence.
  • Previous, relevant experience within stock control, logistics or materials is essential.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment is advantageous however, full training will be provided on the company's product range.
  • Team player who is willing to go the extra mile in order to provide a fast and efficient service to customers.

Additional Information:

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30. Overtime will be required on occasion to suit the needs of the business so flexibility is a must.
