A leading pharmaceutical developer and manufacturer who operate across the globe, is looking to recruit a Purchasing and Quality Administrator to support their Quality and Procurement teams at their site in Cramlington. The business operates in an open-plan office, employing hundreds of staff at this site, with further plans to increase headcount. THE ROLE

As Purchasing and Quality Administrator, you will provide key administration support to the Quality and Procurement teams in a varied role. You will report to the Head of Procurement and have supported supervision from the Document Controller. On a daily basis you will also have frequent communication with internal customers and suppliers.

Your key duties will include:

  • Generating purchase orders, logging details and liaising with requisition raisers
  • Expediting purchase orders to ensure on time delivery
  • Maintaining the database, including learning and familiarising yourself with the purchasing module
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Managing the administration of quotations
  • Supporting the quality team with basic administration including filing, photocopying, generating pdf documents and logging key information



THE EXPERIENCE

To be considered for the Purchasing and Quality Administrator position, you must hold the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent IT skills, including comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience of supply chain systems
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Good standard of education


Ideally you will also:

  • Carry experience within a manufacturing company (pharmaceutical experience would be highly advantageous)
  • Awareness and understanding of cGMP standards (Good Manufacturing Practice)



THE SALARY

You will receive a starting salary of between £16,000 and £18,000, dependent on your experience.

You will also benefit from 25 days' annual leave (+ bank holidays), a pension scheme and free onsite parking.

THE CONTRACT

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work from 8:30am until 4:35pm from Monday - Thursday and from 8:30am until 4:30pm on a Friday. This will include 40 minutes' unpaid lunch break each day.
