Aspire Jobs are pleased to be working exclusively with this global business who are now looking for a Senior Supply Chain Controller.
The successful candidate will have 2-5 years experience in a similar commercial customer focused position - preferably in aerospace but this is not essential.
You will have knowledge of 5s/Six Sigma and a commercial awareness with a proven track record in a demanding supply chain environment.
You will also have or be working towards a recognised qualification: CIPS (preferred) but would consider MCs/MBA/Engineering HNC or have extensive in job experience of at least 5 years.
You will have experience and a proven track record of being able to build relationships, have experience of a wide range of technologies and be willing to travel as and when required.
Job Responsibilities
- Ordering against MRP system as and when required
- Reviewing weekly MRP exception reports, and making any timely interventions required
- Sourcing new, or appropriate, suppliers for particular business requirements
- Negotiating and establishing supply contracts (supporting where necessary the Global Procurement Team)
- Creating and controlling Consignment Kan Ban systems
- Supporting and attending all required meetings
- Specific Supply Chain projects as required
- Constantly improving the quality and reliability of supply
- Contributing to lower costs and efficient inventory turnover
- Development work and Other Roles could include:
- Procurement of products/components in new products/materials or engineering change projects. Including prototypes, tooling and pre-production batches
- Ensuring the external tooling register is updated and monitored (where necessary)
