Our client are looking to employ an Operations Manager on a 12month FTC to manage and lead a group of team mangers within a large, busy and professional organisation. Their employees are a mix of all ages and the office boasts a vibrant, fun culture that extends outside the workplace.

The successful candidate will manage an operations team and they will ensure that team members are motivated and deployed efficiently in order to ensure work is completed to meet quality, accuracy and service levels.

Key Duties:

  • Manage the skill base of staff resources and ensure this is developed and expanded to meet current and future challenges and requirements of customers and the business.
  • Maintain and develop business relationships with key customers and 3rd parties, ensure regular communication and that issues are understood in order to strengthen relationship and income.
  • Participate in future budgeting and targeting, forecasting and re forecasting processes, propose and recommend type of resource required in order to meet department longer-term objectives.
  • Ensure processes are in place to monitor, maintain and ensure compliance for all areas of responsibility with all business and legal requirements.
  • Identify and implement change to improve efficiency of the function and create a culture of sharing best practise.

Skills:

  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Good people and interpersonal skills to build up effective relationships at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to plan own and team’s workload to meet business requirements and service level agreements.
  • Ability to work well and keep calm under pressure
  • Ability to understand the needs of their customers and be focused around customer outcomes
  • Significant relevant work experience.
