SF Group are recruiting for an Import / Export Coordinator to join one of the one of the fastest growing specialist metals stockholders in the country on a temporary to permanent basis. My client is looking to add a proven industry professional to support their team based in open plan offices on site in Chesterfield.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Internal liaison with the sales team, assisting with quotations and service information.
- Actively involved in preparing quotations and negotiating with carriers such as shipping lines, air lines & cargo consolidators.
- Understand and complete all shipping documentation and associated administrative tasks.
- You will be responsible for completing import & export Customs entries, ensuring Customs procedures are met and the cargo is cleared on time.
- Involved in processing of all export requirements.
- Ensure all compliance to legal standards for Duty and Customs control including documentation.
The successful candidate will need to be a fast learner with a proven track record in coordinating the logistics of imports/exports and have a vast knowledge of the required procedures. You should be able to work successfully as part of a small team supporting a larger operation but with the ability to work on your own initiative.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of import/export regulations, understand what is required for compliance to guarantee on time movement of goods.
- Knowledge of EU & Non-EU import/export processes, documentation and dealing with Import Agents.
- Customs entry experience.
- Confident producing / dealing with shipping documentation.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Be able to work in a busy, fast paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Working Hours and Salary
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (flexibility may be required)
Salary is paying £21,000 per annum.
25 days Holiday plus stats.
