Benenden School has an exciting opportunity, for someone with experience of working in a Purchase Ledger role, within its Finance Department.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic team player to join our Finance team, all of whom work closely with other departments in a busy and progressive educational and boarding community. The role is responsible for managing the School’s purchase ledger and would suit someone holding or interested in working towards a professional finance qualification, although this is not essential.

The key attributes for this role are:

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role;
  • Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times;
  • Very good attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness;
  • Confident in dealing with a high-volume workload;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
  • Problem solver;
  • Interested in innovation and improvement;
  • Excellent IT skills;
  • High level of professionalism with confident communication skills;
  • Flexible approach to work;
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team;

This is an important and demanding role for a person looking to develop their career in Finance. Experience in a school role and knowledge of Sage would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is a full time all year position. Salary will be dependent upon experience, circa £22,000 per annum.

Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
