Medium sized contractor looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. Working on a variety of projects of refurbishments, new builds and fit outs - including barn conversions, education buildings, heritage buildings, residential and commercial. £40K-£50K plus package including company car, pension and healthcare. The Client Medium size contractor who specialising in the public and private sector, focusing on education, healthcare and heritage projects across the North West, but with majority of works within the Manchester and Cheshire area. Due to an influx of work they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team to manage several contracts valued from £100K - £4M. Duties for the Role - Contracts Manager Reporting to the Managing Director, your duties will include but not be limited to:- * Delivering multiple projects to a high quality - within set time scales and to the clients satisfaction; * Preparing and negotiating project programmes; * Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, client representatives and consultants; * Manage, motivate and develop site personnel, work activities and resources to meet the requirements to meet budget & timescales; * of individual contracts; * Liaising with the supply chain; * Develop a programme, monitor progress and ensure the contracts are delivered * on time; * Ensure contracts comply with Health, Safety and Welfare requirements; * Ensure site personnel (including visitors) are aware of their own Health, Safety * and Welfare requirements; * Manage the identification of site hazards and ensure assessments and risk * control methods are implemented; * Ensure the performance of reporting staff are monitor through regular appraisals * and reviews; * Ensure identified individual development/training needs are met; * Maintain the trust and support of reporting personnel. Requirements To apply for this role, it is essential you have previous experience working on similar projects, such as renovations to heritage buildings, school/university projects. A proven ability to work and develop operating procedures, as well as a deep understanding of Commercial Awareness is also essential for this role. The following tickets are also required:- * 5 days CITB Site Safety Management training scheme; * ONC/HNC in Construction; * CSCS; * First Aid; * Strong IT skills; * Full, clean driving licence. Further Information The position is looking to start as soon as possible and are offering a basic salary of £40K - £50K plus package including company car, pension and healthcare. How to apply?
