The Purchasing Manager will play a key role in ensuring the availability of goods and services for manufacturing. Duties will include; * Taking the lead in the sourcing of goods and services for manufacturing - ensuring 100% availability of materials * Managing supplier relations in the most effective manner to agree and monitor set KPIs * Working collaboratively with the rest of the supply chain to maintain the stock management process * Identifying opportunities for broader savings in sourcing and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives * Responsibility for a multi-million pounds departmental spend budget The successful Purchasing Manager will have a proven track record as a buyer and improving efficiencies and achieving savings without letting quality drop. You must be self-motivated, determined and be able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders - both internal and external. You will have strong attention to detail and possess good MRP experience.
