We are working with a business near Loughborough who are looking to recruit a Buyer. This is a permanent role suited to someone who has ideally at least 18 months Purchasing experience. The business is experiencing positive growth which has resulted in an extra buyer needed for the small team. The role will see you taking responsibility for a number of Purchasing duties for your given categories. The duties are likely to include: * Building and maintaining relationships with the supplier base * Reviewing supplier performance * Occasional visits to suppliers (this will include abroad) * Sourcing new suppliers when needed * Liaising with factories in the UK and abroad * Always looking to make cost savings where you can * Working with Excel spreadsheets on a daily basis Who should apply? The right person will have between 18 months and 3 years Purchasing experience ideally. You will be a very confident communicator and will be able to stand your own ground as well as being comfortable challenging others at times. You will be looking for a broad role to encompass a number of purchasing duties and will also be looking for a business where you are wanting to put roots down and stay for the foreseeable. For the right person there is the possibility of support towards the CIPS qualification.
