Business Development Executive - Shipping & Logistics

Our client is a leader in supply chain solution management and logistics and offers a wealth of experience in creating innovative and cost-effective solutions across end to end supply chain and freight management.

The primary role of the BDE is to promote business growth and development through new sales.  The focus of BDE will be to develop New Business reporting to the Business Development Manager (BDM) across all national offices. Experience shows that the BDE is often in a position to develop business for other companies within the logistics group, and this cooperative approach is encouraged.

Contacts are established via your historic contacts and experience within the industry, along with in house target lists, recommendations, market research, trade exhibitions and websites

Experience across the following would be an advantage but not an essential,

• Asian imports
• Indian stone / Brazilian stone imports
• Turkish imports within road freight & freight forwarding

Required skills and experience:

• Experience in Business development within the Shipping and Logistics sector
• Full UK driving License
• Strong skills across all Microsoft packages
• Fantastic telephone manner
• Resilient and charismatic
