Location: Chelmsford with travel to London on occasion

Salary: £32,500 - £37,500 per annum + benefits

Hours: 37 hours per week

Operations Manager - About The Role:

As the Operations Manager for Cash Allocations you will be responsible for all aspects of the cash management function, including the development and management of systems for the accurate and effective allocation of all income from various sources.

This role will be based in Chelmsford, Essex with some travel required to the Canary Wharf office in London. Working in a high transaction volume environment, the Operations Manager is responsible for leading and directing their team to ensure cash processing, reconciliation and reporting functions are completed in an accurate and timely manner while in compliance with policy and regulations.

Operations Manager - Key Responsibilities:

- Direct and lead cash management operations to include daily cash administration involving the allocation of all incoming receipts, processing of manual invoices and credit notes

- Complete all cash management set-up documentation for new and existing department processes; prepares correspondence and proposals directed to and for cash management

- Have tight controls around cash management including establishing standard operating practices

- Lead the cash allocations team, set targets, assess performance and recruit, supervise and develop staff

- Handle queries and complaints (from customers and staff)

Operations Manager - About You:

You work in a consultative manner with experience of leading the Allocation team, setting targets and supervising staff performance, recruiting and developing staff.

You are familiar with bank cash management systems and are able to create and establish clear standard operating processes, including an ability to track and report performance against SLAs. You are proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables) and are a fast learner to understand internal databases.

You are curious and creative with demonstrable track record in cash allocation management and dealing with high volume of diverse clients with previous experience of working on projects to improve process and Change management.
