An exceptional opportunity has arisen with a leading charity, based in Chesterfield, to make a real difference to the lives of 10 million people in the UK living with a debilitating condition. Working with researchers, policy makers, health care professionals and donors to lead revolutionary change which improves quality of living for those in need. Working as an integral part of the finance and procurement team, they are on the hunt for an exceptional procurement officer to provide high quality procurement guidance and advice to internal stakeholders to deliver the Charity's vision.

The Role:

You will be responsible for providing support to stakeholders, ensuring all goods and services are procured in line with the charity's guidelines as well as cost and quality standards. You will also manage and maintain organisational procurement records and develop effective analytical tools to track spend and supplier performance.

About You:

We're looking for an outstanding candidate with experience working in procurement in either the public or private sector, with at least two years demonstrating a clear understanding of procurement principles.

You will have a demonstrable track record of supporting stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, guiding them through the procurement process.

You will also have previous knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing principles as well as operational experience of e-procurement systems. An understanding of financial and accounting principals would be beneficial but not essential.

A CIPS qualification, or the commitment to working towards a CIPS qualification is essential.

The Offer:

Negotiable starting salary from £26,000 - £29,000
Flexible working conditions
