Purchase Manager

Purchasing Manager - £20,000 - £25,000 dependant on experience

Full Time – Monday to Friday

Our client is a privately owned and reputable business that specialises in the supply of coatings and application equipment to the manufacturing and fabrication industry. A dynamic, highly organised and efficient Purchasing Manager is needed to join their growing Industrial Supplies company based in Gloucester.

About the role

Our client is looking for someone that has had previous experience dealing with all aspects of Purchasing / Stock Control / Procurement or in a similar role.  Although office based, this role will include some work will be out on the shop floor.

• You will be expected to participate in continuous improvement projects, managing supplier KPI’s and internal reporting as necessary.
• Manage the issuing of Purchase Orders to suppliers, the supply chain and liaison with company suppliers.
• Ensuring they have accurate stock levels, building and developing strong supplier relationships.
• You will be responsible for the site stock management, making sure the right stock levels are in the right stock locations.

About You:

• You will have excellent planning, communication and organisational skills.
• Previous experience in Purchasing and Stock Management.
• You will be an excellent problem solver and be able to make good decisions.
• You will have proven experience of team work, or individually.
• You will be driven to meet deadlines, with a strong desire to achieve customer satisfaction.
• You will be highly motivated, with a "can-do" approach, enthusiastic and committed.
• Excellent IT skills
