Are you an experienced Warehouse / Shift / Operations Manager with strong leadership skills? Do you have proven experience of developing staff through personal development plans?
This company is the world largest express transportation company providing fast reliable services to more than 220 countries. This is their second largest site within the UK and due to the demand they are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to manage the night operations for this national distribution company.
This is a highly responsible role where you will manage and control the night operations. You will manage the hub, ensuring operational compliance, the provision of quality service, cost effective and efficiently run operation with timelines met and errors kept to a minimum. You will ensure that your reports and their teams are motivated and have the skills, capabilities and resources to meet evolving business needs. A large emphasis of this role is to develop your staff and create a succession planning culture.
This role would therefore ideally suit an experienced Operations Manager who has experience of managing a demanding site where deadlines need to be met. You will have excellent people leadership skills and looking to join a highly prestigious company where you will be well looked after.
The Role:
* Lead and Manage a busy depot / hub
* Manage operators and team supervisors
* Maintain / improve operational efficiency and cost & service levels
* Organise team activity
* Working Nights Monday to Friday starting at either 5pm or 8pm (flexible start times)
* £38,400 + Benefits
