An IFA Operations Manager / Practice Manager is required by a growing national financial planning firm providing services to both private and corporate clients. This is a newly created position as the result of continued business expansion.

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Directly managing all non-advising staff (Paraplanners, Administrators etc.)
  • Understanding of the sales process and provision of advice to clients in a compliant manner as detailed in the firm's compliance manual and procedures ?
  • Being the first and main point of contact for all external providers and suppliers of goods and services, and ensure that the firm receives the service contracted in a timely and cost effective basis ?
  • Ensuring that all client records, electronic or paper based, are maintained and updated to a high standard ?
  • Producing management information for the Board or Directors as required ?
  • Auditing and ensuring that the agreed client and service propositions are being fully delivered ?and implemented ?
  • Dealing with any Health & Safety / HR queries or issues ?
  • Reviewing and developing procedures and templates to ensure that tasks are completed in an efficient manner ?
  • Managing the recruitment and induction process for all staff so as to ensure that only appropriately qualified and experienced staff fill the required roles ?
  • Organising and maintaining the office premises and ensure everything runs smoothly

You will have attained the CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or be working towards it) and have previous operations / practice management experience within a financial planning firm. You will have a good understanding of UK financial services products, FCA regulations and AML and GDPR requirements. You will be familiar with recruitment and HR processes and will be highly IT literate. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
