My client is a global market leading company within the industrial tool sector with more than 20 years in the market with an established and well earned reputation. Based in Sheffield, they are ideally situated to support the UK and Europe. Also having offices and Distribution abroad which provides sales and support for North America. As well as worldwide agents in over 30 countries.

Your new role
To manage and improve overall efficiency of storage of stock, outbound freight and the management of the warehouse and production departments. Implementation and continual monitoring of staff KPI's as well as implementation of systems to improve overall efficiency of stock and distribution. To recruit and train new staff members with a view to developing colleagues across the production & warehouse departments. You will also be leading a team of 10 across both departments. There will also be a focus on Health and Safety as you will be the lead Health and Safety representative for the UK and must ensure that all staff/ visitors adhere to the H&S regulations.

What you'll need to succeed
Be experienced in Logistics, Warehousing & Operations being able to implement new processes to efficiency. Previous experience working with SAP as well as Microsoft Office systems with a particular focus on Excel. An up to date knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in the UK is a must and a qualification in this is desired. A candidate who always strives to improve in all aspects of their role will be successful in this business with a good ability to communicate and negotiate with suppliers along with excellent time management and prioritisation skills being an absolute must.

What you'll get in return
A salary of £35,000-£40,000 with core hours of 8:00-17:00 Monday-Friday potentially working more if the position requires. Based from the Sheffield site with occasional travel to international sites with a excellent bonus scheme.
