A leading manufacturing business based in Leeds are seeking to recruit a Procurement Manager to work closely with the senior management team and site production teams to meet the demands of their every growing order book.
As the Procurement Manager you will be an integral part of the the supply chain operation. You will be activity involved in driving efficiencies for direct commodities inclusive and not limited to Castings, Forgings, Machined Parts, Precision Parts, Electrical Components, Switchgears, Electrical Motors and sub contract manufacturing.
Based in Leeds
Main responsibilities
+ You will develop strong working relationships across the business with key departments and stakeholders
work on the identified service level requirements to establish targeted objectives, departmental targets, KPI's to measure overall team performance
+ Ensure Buyers are complying with internal milestones and utilising milestone tools to ensure overall project milestones are supported
+ Work with Buyers on their commodity strategies and producing savings through that strategy
+ Provide support to the Tendering department in respect of providing pricing and availability information
+ Carry out Supplier performance reviews as deemed necessary to maintain Supplier Performance levels for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Management, Safety & Environmental, for all assigned Products and Services
+ Conduct regular benchmarking and market analysis to maintain market competitiveness
About you:
+ Experience in the commodity management
+ A professional CIPS qualification is preferred
+ Excellent experience in the negotiation of supply agreements.
+ Experience in managing supplier performance and implementing effective countermeasures as appropriate.
+ Familiar with developing Supplier strategies inclusive of Low Cost
+ Excellent negotiating / cost analysis skills
