Reed Procurement and Supply Chain are looking for a Shipping Manager to join our client on a full-time and permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunitity for anyone with an HMRC Customs and Shipping background who wants to work their way up in a company! Our client encourages progression and growth so if you are looking for that next move within Shipping this could be the role for you!
This role is working a 37.5 hour working week Monday to Friday but can offer flexibility in hours worked.
When the work is demanding you would be excpected to stay to complete work, although our client do encourage a work/life balance at all times.
The salary on offer is £33,000-36,000 per annum.
Duties will include;
- Being responsible for a Shipping Administrator
- Liaising with; Warehouse, Production, Customer Service, Operations and Finance to communicate weekly issues/wins
- Managing the shipping function
- Shipping selection and pricing to ensure smooth running of department
- Ensuring correct import and export procedures are followed
- Customs Warehousing
- Conduct checks on shipping logs
- Being a point of contact for advice on international trade
- Liaising with HMRC
- Other duties as required
