Senior Procurement Manager (Policy and Assurance) 

It is an exciting time for HM Land Registry (HMLR) as we embark on a major transformation programme. HMLR's ambition is to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data. We are now looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our Commercial Group to help us to achieve this. 

Our Business Strategy for 2017-2022 sets out our aims of: brilliant at the basics; a comprehensive Land Register; world-leading through Digital Street – our ground-breaking research and development project exploring how land registration might work in 2030; opening our data; expert people; and financially strong. 

Position: Senior Procurement Manager Policy and Assurance 
Location: Croydon, London, CR0 2AQ; Nottingham, East Midlands, NG1 7AU; Plymouth, South West, PL6 5WS 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37 hours per week / 36 hours Croydon (Part Time 35 hours); Flexible working, Full-time, Part-time 
Salary: £34,656 (£37,841 Croydon) 
Benefits: Pensions, Civil Service pension schemes may be available for successful candidates.

About the role: 

You will have exposure to an organisation driving transformation and be at the forefront of the Commercial Group, supporting this by helping shape and develop commercial capability. You will have an opportunity to network and collaborate with other government commercial teams (Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Other BEIS partner organisations and Cabinet Office) and be part of an organization that values professional training & on-going investment in learning & development. 

As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will work closely with a range of colleagues across HMLR to deliver professional commercial and contract advice as part of HM Land Registry’s Commercial Group as well as ensuring we achieve great outcomes and value for money. 

About you: 

You may already hold MCIPS or an equivalent qualification, or you may be studying or willing to do so; either way, you will have demonstrable relevant experience in procurement or commercial roles and you will have good understanding of commercial principles and how they can be used to achieve the right contractual results. 

In addition, you will have the ability to collaborate, influence, and engage colleagues across the organisation, to see the potential and benefits of good commercial practice. You will help provide assurance that we are actively following best practice, and make visible our contribution through providing and completing appropriate Management Information to support the commercial agenda.
