My client, a leading global logistics provider, is looking to recruit a Customer Services Co-ordinator to be based at the client client site in Leicestershire.

Role: Customer Services Co-ordinator - Ocean Freight/Supply Chain

Location: Leicestershire

Salary: Up to £30k plus private health care, up to 30 days annual leave, 6% company pension contribution, life assurance

Industry: Shipping/Ocean Freight


Role

  • To effectively liaise with the nominated customer for all inbound movement of goods from worldwide locations to arrive at UK based distribution Centres. To fully adhere to service requirements and ensure that the details of such are in line with the agreed Customer SOP and fully captured accurately and in a timely fashion in line with our internal operating procedures. To ensure that any service changes or updates are included in both a revised SOP and IOP.
  • To maintain an excellent level of service for and relationship with the customer in line with company expectations.
  • To ensure that customers are invoiced in a timely manner for services provided.
  • To ensure that any questions/queries arising from all global internal colleagues or the customer's departments (such as buying, merchandising or logistics teams) are responded to effectively and in a timely manner.


Requirements

  • Must have strong working experience preferably within Logistics Supply Chain & Retail Logistics sectors specifically, however, a strong working knowledge with carriers / shipping lines and haulage would also be considered
  • Excellent customer service and helpful attitude ("We Take It Personally")
  • Leadership qualities to guide the ISCMS team
  • Strong IT skills including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Must be comfortable working with detailed data
  • Keen time & deadline management, as well as monitoring that of Customer Service Coordinator team member tasks to ensure quality service
