Business Analyst with Supply Chain / ERP. Based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire my client has a new requirement for an Business Analyst with Supply Chain Systems Experience (e.g. testing and training users). You will be responsible for:

  • Understanding and interpreting business process needs in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Business systems
  • Design Tests plans to ensure the system is meeting the businesses’ needs.
  • Design processes to facilitate integration between applications through creative and lateral thinking.
  • Responsible for leading the Helpdesk process for applications.
  • Provide support for business applications.
  • Maintain and build upon the close working relationship with IT both on and off-shore

You must have:

  • Practical knowledge of ERP Systems, concepts and data structures, e.g. defining requirements and configuration in ERP for a consignment stock process.
  • Practical knowledge of the supply chain business processes.
  • Proven track record of implementing systems changes
  • Experience of Business Process design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Role involves:

  • Proposing system solutions to the needs of colleagues in relation to their business processes, helping to identify and resolve root cause problems.
  • Define Business requirements in a functional specification and align these with the capabilities of the Systems available endeavouring to ensure a Group wide single solution
  • Identify and develop improvements to system capability, working with the Business and Systems teams to propose solutions.
  • Configure and test potential solutions, engaging the Business to ensure the best outcome.
  • Implement agreed changes with the Business, ensuring that maximum benefit is obtained across the Group.
  • Work with Business Process owners through the change process, ensuring education and training completed to deliver successful projects.
  • To document and implement procedures relating to Business Process change.
  • Manage medium sized process change and upgrade projects.
  • Identify and address where correct procedures are not being followed.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for application issues.
  • To co-ordinate and lead the monthly GPO meetings providing the agenda and meeting minutes as well as follow-up of agreed actions with relevant parties.
  • To log issues with 3rd party software suppliers when required, ensuring follow up actions are completed to test and implement solutions.
  • To arrange and provide user support and training, in particular for new starters or where processes have changed, in order to promote user understanding and actual usage of applications across the group.
  • To test process changes and software releases, ensuring no adverse impact on the business.
