We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager for a leading manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire, Bradford, Halifax area.
The business is a market leader in their field, having sustained year on year growth they require an experienced Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of the operations leading a team across purchasing, material control, inventory, planning and warehousing.
The manufacturing environment is fast paced as such would suit a Supply Chain Manager that's worked in Automotive, Electronics, Furniture, Plastics or General Manufacturing.
Duties
*Continuously liaising with stakeholders and managers across the business(s) to assess demand
*The position will be responsible for the procurement of parts, stock and materials to ensure order deadlines are met
*Processing purchase orders in an ethical manner and in accordance with the organisations procedures
*Responsible for the all-encompassing day to day running of the Procurement needs at this location relating to suppliers, activities and responsibilities under your control
*Maintaining and accurate updating of purchasing data on the internal ERP system
*As part of an intensive transfer strategy, innovative sourcing of new suppliers for goods and services to achieve best value and quality; quotation rules apply and geographical bias is not acceptable, quotations to be sought from a pre-determined list of countries
*Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
*Drive Supply Chain performance measures for inventory reduction, stock turns and cost improvement
*Lead inventory modelling, reporting and action plans
Education, training and qualifications:
*HNC/HND Qualifications or Degree educated (Desirable)
*Manufacturing/supply chain related professional qualification
*Extensive use of a MRP/ERP system - SAP or similar would be advantageous
