Specialist Procurement Consultancy seeks a Senior Consultant to join their expanding team in New York. The company, with offices in New York and headquarters in London, have achieved over £25m worth of savings for over 30 companies and have plans for rapid expansion throughout the US. The ideal Senior Consultant will have a problem-solving mindset with the adaptability to work under different environments.

The role is a brilliant opportunity for a previous Procurement Specialist Consultant that is looking to expand their experience in managing different categories and industries, or a Procurement Generalist within indirect categories who is looking to pursue Consultancy. You will be covering different categories of the indirect spend, such as Professional Services, HR, IT and Marketing, with the aim of supporting clients in reaching their cost savings targets. With the role being heavily project based, it provides the opportunity for an ambitious Senior Procurement Consultant to progress quicker throughout the company. As projects vary between different clients, you will be working with different teams and implementing various Procurement strategies, so adaptability is key.

Since they are rapidly expanding in the US, the Senior Consultant will spend most of their time at client sites across the country, with some work from home. With their global headquarters based in London and offices in Hong Kong, there is the opportunity to relocate and work with the European and Asian Procurement Team.

As a Senior Procurement Consultant, you will be:

  • Developing sourcing and category strategies across indirect categories such as Professional Services, Marketing, HR, and IT.
  • Conducting analysis for spend, product and markets
  • Managing relationships with existing vendors
  • Negotiating contracts with new suppliers
  • Communicating scopes of work with different stakeholders
  • Implementing cost saving plans

Requirements:

  • Experience within consultancy preferred
  • Proven record within Procurement, preferably with indirect categories
  • A university degree, any background
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Flexibility for travel
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the Procurement functions for many businesses, where you will be directly responsible for developing the strategy and direction for the indirect spend, in order to ensure and maximum cost reduction and overall success for the Procurement department.

If you possess the relevant experiences and abilities, within indirect spend or consulting, then please get in touch and send your resume to Michael at m.pham@bramwithconsulting.com
