TEMPORARY - PERMANENT FINANCE & LOGISTICS ASSISTANT REQUIRED FOR A DISTRIBUTION COMPANY IN HATFIELD!

PAY: £10.25 - £12.82 PER HOUR, DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE

We are working with a market leader within Distribution, who are looking to bring on board a Finance and Logistics Assistant to carry out an array of support tasks, including bank reconciliations, order processing and order management, and producing reports.

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 dependent on experience once taken onto a permanent contract.

Working within a team of 9, you will be an experienced order processor with finance experience and expertise. This hybrid role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to undertake tasks pivotal to the smooth running of the business. There is scope to take on further responsibility as you progress with the role.

Reporting to the Management Accountant, the day to day duties will encompass the following:

Finance -

  • Allocate and reconcile control accounts
  • Process all debtor remittances
  • Contact customers to resolve payments and queries
  • To ensure customers are invoiced promptly for all deliveries
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation
  • Prepare external returns and statistics as required
  • Assist the Management Accountant as requested

Logistics -

  • Share daily reports from the warehouses and customers warehouse internet sites with the team
  • Handle EDI orders
  • Handle customer orders
  • Process sales invoices and goods receipts
  • Prepare stock and sales reports for customers, suppliers and management
  • Assist in the preparation of stock reconciliation, which may include visits to warehouses
  • Assist the Logistics Manager and Management Accountant as required
  • Assist and implement strategies, together with the Logistics Manager and Management Accountant

Person specification:

  • Proven experience within an order processing / sales ledger / purchase ledger position
  • Finance process implementation experience
  • Flexible and adaptable to an array of business support duties
  • Ability to work successfully both individually and actively as part of a team
