Global Logistics Manager

Salary £28k-£32k dependant on experience
Our client is one of the UK’s largest luggage companies with a reputation for innovation. They are based in Hertford and have offices in USA, Europe, Australia and China.
Their business is continually growing and so they have a requirement to recruit for a Global Logistics Manager, a newly created role, reporting into the Logistics Director.
The role primarily is to manage various logistics functions and provide full, global logistics support to the Logistics Director. Support the logistics function to evolve in order to best support the rapidly increasing growth of the Company including emerging markets.
The role has great potential for growth. The role also includes, but is not limited to:
- Overseeing warehousing
- Management of shipping schedule
- Management of 3PL
- Identifying cost saving opportunities
- Reviewing customers clearance paperwork
- Arranging customer bookings and deliveries
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in international logistics in a similar role
- Strong experience working with multiple 3PLs
- Excellent understanding of supply chain and logistics
- Ability to work autonomously
- Adaptable to meet varying and new demands
- A forward-thinker
- Demonstrable problem solver
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organised and ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment
