MB Fitzgerald are currrently working with a highly respected firm of IFA's in North-Birmingham who are looking to recruit for an experienced Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will be heading up their team of non-sales staff and ensuring that all operational functions are carried out in an efficient manner. We are looking for an experienced individual from an IFA background who understands who a Financial Planning business works. You must have a detailed understanding of Financial Services products and will be an experienced Manager of Financial Services staff.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manage all non-advising staff
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the firm's administration and client service requirements and who does what within the business
- Understanding of the sales process and provision of advice to clients in a compliant manner as detailed in the firm's compliance manual and procedures
- Be the first and main point of contact for all external providers and suppliers of goods and services, and ensure that the firm receives the service contracted in a timely and cost effective basis
- Ensure that all client records, electronic or paper based, are maintained and updated to a high standard
- Produce management information for the Board or Directors as required
- Audit and ensure that the agreed client and service propositions are being fully delivered and implemented
- Deal with any Health & Safety / HR queries or issues
- Review and develop procedures and templates to ensure that tasks are completed in an efficient manner
- Manage the recruitment and induction process for all staff so as to ensure that only appropriately qualified and experienced staff fill the required roles
