Commercial Coordinator | Inside Sales | Sales Support

Do you have solid import & export freight forwarding experience? Are you commercially minded, methodical and enjoy quoting clients? Perhaps you are looking for a role can offer more flexibility in terms of hours or perhaps a mix or working from home & in the office?

The Role:

You will be responsible for prioritising inbound enquiries, speaking to carriers, hauliers and other suppliers, negotiating rates and preparing quotations for potential clients in a timely manner. You need good IT skills, along with a commercial mindset, ensuring a healthly margin is made on each successful quote. You will be actively working with the sales department as well as operations, and will receive full support from the directors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a continually growing freight forwarder, who can offer flexible working if required for the right person.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous import export experience
  • Methodical & able to prioritise
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good customer services skills
  • Good IT knowledge

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous sales experience

Our client is a well-established privately-owned freight forwarder based in Southampton. This well known and successful freight forwarder has a good reputation within the industry and prides itself on looking after its employees and providing a good working environment.

Salary & Benefits:

Our client is open and is prepared to offer a competitive salary depending on experience. They have provided a guideline between £22 & 25K. This role could work on a permanent or part time basis, all depending on the needs of the successful applicant.
