How do you like to train on Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence?
If you'd rather be out with the operations understanding the challenges faced every day, this could be the right role for you.
A Nottingham based FMCG business are looking for a Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence Manager.
You'll have a healthy balance of coaching and developing performance improvement and continuous improvement in a challenging manufacturing environment. You'll also be looking at the process improvement strategy for the business unit.
The business manufacture pharmaceutical and healthcare products, so have specific manufacturing challenges.
Your role will be to network within the operations and identify, design, and implement process improvement opportunities. This is best done by speaking to the people who are at the heart of operations.
There are some initial areas of focus including waste elimination and OEE, however you'll be responsible for defining the Operational Excellence strategy and identifying future projects.
A background in Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement is key, as are your communication skills; in the same day you can expect to be working with factory operatives, and reporting strategy to the site management team.
You'll be selling the operational excellence vision to colleagues; each and every one will know it's your strategy being put together.
Ideally you'll be formally qualified in Lean / Six Sigma, with experience in an FMCG business. Manufacturing experience is essential.
