A fantastic opportunity has arisen with one of our UK Retail clients. You will be working across three Oxford St flagship stores maintaining their POS IT system and in-store retailer inventory.

Our client is a leading global make-up brand with concessions in each of the London stores, plus one in Ireland, whose sales agents need training & 1st line support on the POS system as well as ensuring stock levels and inventory are available in store at all times.

You will need a few years relevant experience, be IT savvy (esp. POS) be conscientious and positive in your attitude to fixing problems. Good communication skills and a can-do attitude are also equally important. Able to travel to Ireland (no passport restrictions) when needed is also a key requirement however 75% of the day to day duties will be in one or all three of the Oxford St stores.

The company's HQ is in New York so the ability to work well without supervision is vital with regular updates and reporting to the US based Line Management.

You will also need to understand the implications of the GDPR data privacy rules as they apply to the company's internal data privacy policies (successful candidate can be trained)

Salary range £35-45K depending on experience

Typical duties will include:

  • Daily and weekly reports
  • Support with any additional report requests e.g. customer replenishment / new item launch / previous customers plus GDPR compliance review needed on each run.
  • Review daily POS figure vs audit figure, follow up with store management re: variances and run additional reports if in need of support when unable to identify variance
  • Place stock orders for all locations. Review on hand vs ordered vs in transit
  • Review any excess and arrange inter-store transfers between locations to minimize stoke ordered from USA
  • Review on hand periodically/as need between orders for inter-store transfer/hot picks
  • Coordinate and conduct monthly physical inventory
  • Review daily stock audits and resolve variances including moving of boxed inventory (up to 20kgs)

Software \ Hardware skills

  • In store sales agent training- train new agents on POS, customer data entry, all other aspects of POS as required by the agent to complete a customer purchase
  • 1st line support for agents help desk- first to be called. Evaluates issue and contacts Software help desk if problem cannot be resolved in-house.
  • Stop and Start SQL server
  • Connect secondary tills to main POS system
  • Diagnose issues and replace hard drives
  • Trouble shoot and resolve in store internet issues. Contacting ISP for line checks as well as book in as engineer if needed. ISP/Wireless maintenance and coordination with provider for issues that cannot be fixed internally (BT)
  • Store booking- book in help to store including BT, POS Hardware support, auditors, staff from USA etc as required
  • Support store via remote login as well as travel between stores at any given time during the day
