Our Client is looking to recruit an experienced Transport Manager.
The ideal Candidate for this role would need to:
Cost effectively manage the transport resources to budget.
Provide a consistently high standard of delivery to customers ensuring that resources are provided at the optimum level.
Fully utilise and comply with all people management practises and procedures.
Build and manage the relationships with contractors.
Maintain effective relationships with other members of the management team, including regular attendance to operations meetings.
Ensure all vehicles are kept to pre - set standards and are legally compliant.
Ensure that deliveries are routed on a daily basis.
The candidate would need to successfully manage their team with inspiring and motivating energy and be a clear thinker and decision maker.
