Operational Risk Manager

Our Client is a leading FinTech Platform, based here in Edinburgh. Our client works with a number of blue-chip life companies, banks, asset managers and wealth managers to assist in the development and distribution of financial products and services to their customers.

Our Client is looking for an Operational Risk Manager who's responsibilities will include:

• Leading the development the Risk Event process,
• To lead the development of Operational Risk team
• Manage the team of Operational Risk Officers.
• Continue to develop the Operational Risk Team and ensure it continues to add value.
• Promote and actively develop a risk aware culture
• Manage the Risk Event Life-cycle
• Deliver quality Risk Event MI to all levels of the business
• Participate and chair governance meetings to ensure the right values are in place in order to mitigate risk and reduce risk events
• Manage stakeholders at a variety of levels both internal and external

What our client is ideally looking for is:

• Extensive experience of operational risk within the Wealth Management.
• Experience in the Risk Event Process and Controls.
• Knowledge of the UK financial services and regulatory framework including the CASS Sourcebook.
• Ability to communicate effectively at a variety of levels
