Interim Inbound Logistics Specialist

Zachary Daniels are proud to be partnered with one of Europe's leading online retailers in the immediate recruitment of an Origin Inbound Logistics specialist.

Our client, a billion pound turnover pureplay retailer are nationally renowned for being a leading employer and have been awarded a best employer for the last 4 years.

The role will be an initial interim position that may have the potential to go permanent for the successful candidate. The role will sit in a team of 4 and have the following responsibilities:

• Facilitate the shipping of products from suppliers to the UK via 1 of the 3 main agent partners - Air, sea, road.
• Interact with the international agents and the UK 3PL partner ensuring SLAs are managed and adhered to
• Manage activities throughout the order cycle to make sure established deadlines are met and customers are informed of any changes.
• Continually reviews costs and economies of scale to keep logistics costs down where possible.
• Liaise with Quality, Product and Sourcing teams to ensure product quality is of the highest standard
• Liase and coordinate with 6 different souring offices based across Europe and Asia

Skills needed:

• Excellent numerical analysis skills and impeccable attention to detail
• Knowledge of international shipping and local authority regulations would be an advantage
• Proven experience of working with product coming from the Far East, Eastern Europe and Turkey
• Extensive import and customs knowledge
• Proven track record in a role where end-to-end ownership of a logistical cycle was required.
